Library of Congress
This massive endeavor began with an assessment of the existing sign systems within the Jefferson, Madison, and Adams buildings.
Architectural Sign Associates’ recommendations generated a comprehensive sign solution developed to provide for ease of navigation, code compliancy, and consistency throughout the more than four million square feet of space.
Sign materials and design elements were inspired by the architecture and interior of the buildings, to respect the historical integrity of the Library of Congress. Color-coding, orientation maps, and directories facilitate seamless navigation throughout these expansive buildings.
